Date the sample

A laboratory result describes a sample produced and collected at a particular time. If a company later modifies its process, an article should preserve the chronology. Historical findings remain part of the record, but they need not describe a later process version without further comparison.

Date the assurance

Inhance’s January 2025 statement describes improvements and reductions. That account should be linked to the period and methods supporting it. A company’s description of a change is relevant evidence of its position, while independent validation is a separate question.

Report both without erasure

A clear timeline can show the original concern, the claimed response and the data needed to evaluate it. Readers can then understand why the controversy developed and what might have changed. Neither automatically declaring the issue resolved nor treating all later production as identical to old samples is justified by chronology alone.
